What is Epidemiology?

Epidemiology is the study of the distribution and determinants of disease in populations with the intent to understand, cure, and/or prevent disease.  Field Epidemiology, the application of epidemiological methods in non-clinical settings, is a combination of art and a science.

Why This Site?

I designed this site to assist new students in public health schools to have the reference materials critical to their success, but often overlooked by seasoned epidemiologists who teach these courses.  Many of the instructors have resources that they take for granted, either assuming that the student will find the information themselves, or being unaware that the scale-free network of the internet hides these remote sites from the “average” student.

How Can I Help?

If you have a resource that I have not listed please let me know by entering the resource into the form on the Missing Info tab above, I will strive to update the site regularly.
